Coca Cola Plus Coffee (250ml can size at 128 yen) will go on sale at convenience stores and vending machines in Japan from Friday, the company said.
The drink, which combines the aroma and taste of coffee in traditional coke, was launched on the Internet last September in a limited trial of vending machines in guandong and northeast China. The volume of the new coke to be sold nationwide has been increased from 190ml to 250ml, with the Coca-Cola LOGO on red cans and a pattern of beans wrapped in carbonated foam.
According to Coca-Cola Japan, the coke is aimed at consumers over the age of 35. Many people over 35 want to drink both coffee and soda at work, according to the company's consumer survey. More than four in ten of those who drank coffee more than once a week also said they drank carbonated drinks the same.
This coffee cola is infused with coffee essence and added with caffeine. In addition to the sweetness of coke, it can also taste the aroma of coffee.
